Bitcoin wallet is use to store bitcoin. It comes in different forms, it can be a program you can install on your computer, a hardware or a cloud website that offers a free membership to use their site as your bitcoin storage. There are different types of bitcoin wallets.

1. Hot and Cold Bitcoin Wallet

Desktop wallets are usually downloaded and installed in your laptop or computer. You can use it even without internet connection. But when receiving funds you need to be connected into the internet. 4. Online Web Wallets

Online web wallets are cloud bitcoin wallets provided by websites that offers free regsitration and free services as well. One of the oldest online web wallets is Coinbase. You can also store your ethereum and litecoin with only one account. Another one is Cryptopay you can use to store bitcoin. Members can request for an ATM card to convert your bitcoin into cash and withdraw it using and ATM machine. There is cloud wallets that offers multiple cryptocurrencies in one account. 5. Physical Wallets

Physical wallets pertains to paper wallets which can be use as cold storage for bitcoin. In order to generate a paper wallet, you use sites such blockchain or bitaddress. Once they are generated, you print them out on paper.

6. Bitcoin Clients

Bitcoin Clients are the first and the original bitcoin wallets used by the pioneers of the currency. Computers installed with these wallets form part of the core network and thus have access to all transactions on the blockchain. BitcoinQt, was the first ever built bitcoin client wallet.

7. Hardware Wallets

Hardware Wallets are like your money wallet you can carry, but it has the ability to connect to the blockchain and received and send bitcoin. It needs to be connected to the internet to process transactions. Trezor and Ledger HW1 are some exampe of hardware wallets.
